Soy-Free Teriyaki Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • ½ cup Big Tree Farms Organic Coco Aminos
  • ¼ cup Big Tree Farms Organic Coconut Sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ tsp chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Mix together all ingredients except shrimp. Set aside half of mixture and add shrimp to the other half.
  2. Let shrimp marinate for 1-2 hours.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water 15 minutes prior to grilling.
  4. Add shrimp to skewers and grill over high heat 4 minutes per side.
  5. While shrimp cook, simmer your non-marinade half of the sauce for 10 minutes or until it reduces by half to a glaze-like consistency.
  6. Remove skewers from grill and brush shrimp with glaze. Serve immediately while hot!
