Healthy Apple Crisp

apples, peeled, cored and diced
1/4 cup

The topping
1 cup
old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup
unsweetened coconut flakes
1/2 cup
pecans

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix the apples with the coconut sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and sea salt. Stir well. Transfer to a deap-dish pie pan and gently press down.

In a small bowl, mix together all the topping ingredients. Spread the topping evenly over the apples.

Bake for 60 minutes until the topping is golden and the apples are soft and bubbling. Check the apple crisp after 40 minutes and, if the topping is getting too brown, loosley cover the pie pan with aluminum foil. Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
